Senior Research Associate, In Vitro Pharmacology

We are seeking an exemplary Senior Research Associate to join the Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology team at Unity. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and engaging group of scientists searching for novel molecules to treat diseases of aging. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to help discover/develop small and large molecules with the potential to become highly innovative medicines for patients suffering from debilitating diseases.

The ideal candidate will be a self-directed and motivated researcher with experience in the areas of cell biology and in vitro pharmacology. This position requires a strong lab-based individual contributor who is adept at working within cross-functional project teams. The duties of the job include experimental design and execution, analysis and interpretation of data, and presentation (verbal/written) of findings to the larger Discovery organization. The candidate will have an important role in the generation of key datasets that are critical for the selection of clinical development candidates.


  • Bachelor’s degree in the Life Sciences with 6-10 years of scientific experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, a Master's degree and 2-6 years of experience, or a PhD in a relevant research field
  • Direct experience in developing in vitroassays (both cellular and biochemical) to interrogate molecular target engagement and downstream physiological endpoints
  • Ability to deliver results alone or within a team environment. Able to work effectively with internal colleagues and collaborate with external collaborators
  • Exceptional communication, critical thinking, and problemsolving skills
  • Strong track record for scientific and technical independence


  • Experience in primary cell culture and/or co-culture models
  • Experience in antibody screening and discovery
  • Strong practical knowledge or hands on experience with flow cytometry
  • Experience with multiplexed antibody-based detection methods (g., Luminex, MSD/ELISA).
